The blitz wasn’t enough for them. Now racists in the far right are set to wreck our city again
With images spread via Reform UK facebook groups, plans have come out for a racist protest in Plymouth tonight (5th August 2024) from 7pm by the guildhall. Counterprotesters will be out in force at the same location from 6pm. We urge you to join them. The right may be frightening but it’s only together that we can push them back and make our streets safe from far-right violence

Andy Gibbons
Andy Gibbons was a council candidate for the Reform UK party in April. As well as sharing calls for the racist protest, his private facebook shows a darker side. In it he’s called for further rioting an white supremacy in the UK, saying:
“Long may the rioting continue until this Country gets back to some point of WHITE normality that it once used to be.”
From Andy Gibbon’s facebook we see he runs the Plymouth business “Chance 2 Dance Mobile Discos”. Here are the details:

Jason Shopland
You’ll recognise this name as one of those who “liked” the post calling for riots, which we showcased above. We’ve written about Jason Shopland, who runs the local far-right party Active for Plymouth, here and here

- There are reported to be over 500 people out to counter protest the fascists in Plymouth today. This is an incredible turnout! We keep us safe
- We are hearing that three of the racists have been arrested already and one David Hunter of the EDL is there in attendance…
- There are now 300 racists gathered. We outnumber them
